A pop-up window is opened when a game room link is clicked. The most probable solution is that you have a program which blocks pop-up windows. Disable the pop-up protection program or if it is the web browser make sure it allows pop-up windows' from www.betapet.com. If it still does not work try to click the game room link while holding down the ctrl key or try to right click on the link and select "open link in new window".

Sometimes, the activation e-mail can be delayed to your e-mail address up to a day. Also, your e-mail account may block the e-mail using a spam filter and could be placed in folders such as "junk mail", "spam" et c. If you still can not find the e-mail try a new activation link can be sent to address here.

Betapet uses what is known as ports for each game room. These ports should be opened for outgoing traffic, thus you are the active part in the communication inbetween your computer and Betapet. Most firewalls configures this automatically by asking the user when it detects an outbound connection. If this is not the case, open the following ports for outgoing traffic: 1451-1453 to the host snowstorm.betapet.com (78.108.48.72).

- Clean the web browers temporary internet files (cache).
- Try another web browser such as Firefox or Opera.
- Turn off any firewall you might be using.
- Try on another computer.
- Check which security level the web browser have set, and change if necessary.
- Click here to assure that you at least have version 8 of Adobe Flash Player. If you need to install it click here. Adobe Flash Player is free of charge.

You might have to low resolution configured. Try to change it in the control panel->display if you are using Windows 98/2000/XP.

There is a font missing in the installation of your Linux OS. The packet name is msttcorefonts.

This is due to the lack of administrative access to your computer. Ask your administrator to install Adobe Flash Player or change to the administration account if you have access to it.

First of all you should read the FAQ to make sure your question is not here. If it does not exist you could ask a supervisor. Supervisors has a plus (+) in front of their user name in the game. Just double click on a name to pop up a chat window. As a last resort you could look in the forum to see if there is a discussion about your specific problem and if not create a new thread to get help.

It is not possible to change the user name after the creation of your account. If you want another user name please create a new account.

The blank tile is a joker. This means that any alpha letter can be choosen. This is done by clicking on the tile while holding the left mouse button for approximately a second.

A bingo is when a player has been successfull enough to use all seven tiles at hand. This gives a extra 50 points, in addition to the usual points received for a correct word.

The rating is calculated using a number of variables. A simplifed explanation is that the rating is a way to measure your performance towards other players. The rating change also depends on the rating you, and your opponent, had before the game started. A more comprehensive explanation can be found here.

Try to reconnect to the game room as fast as possible if you suspect you have been disconnected. The simplest way is to close the window and click on the game room link again. This way the game will ask if you want to rejoin it.

First, put the tiles you want to exchange on the game board. Now press "Exchange". It is only possible to exchange tiles if there is a minimum of seven tiles left on your hand.

Probably nothing! This error can have a number of causes. If everyone seems to have been disconnected it is probably due to a restart of our servers. If only you have been disconnected, it could be your connection to our servers that temporarily disappeared. This could depend on a number of things and it is almost impossible to say exactly what the error is.

The characters with non capital letters is done using joker tiles. The player has thus used one or more joker tiles that he had on his hand.

This might be due to the usage of the chat box which has taken the focus. Get rid of this by clicking on the game board.

The simplest way is to make sure you got more points than your opponent. When this seems enough just pass your way out of the game, this way the game ends automatically and, hopefully, you'll win the game.

This could be that you have lost the connection to the game. Try closing the game window and enter the same game room as before.

When creating the game, select "only invite". To invite a player, press the right mouse button in the name list and select "Invite".

The padlock indicates that the game is locked. Only invited players can join a locked game.

To be able to chat/talk/speak with other members you need to set the focus to the chat window. This is done by clicking in it ones.
